Research and Development

Here at Roo Systems, we pride ourselves on providing quality products and services that will perform and do as we claim in “Real World” situations. That is, Australian Real World situations outside of an office or workshop.
We know our customers come from a wide, and geographically diverse, demographic. It goes without saying that our products and services must perform and meet the requirements of those customers in an equally diverse environment. Essentially, drivability, power and economy need to be matched to the needs of our customers whilst maintaining factory reliability or better.
For example, our customers can be:

  • 4WDing in the remote Kimberly region of Western Australia.
  • Towing a 22ft caravan on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria.
  • Tradesperson moving from work site to work site in the city.
  • Exploring the incredible and majestic Australian Snow Fields.

Each environment and situation require expert consideration and tailored solutions that can only be made by professionals with specific experience and understanding in those same situations.

Our solutions provide our customers with the confidence that their vehicle performance and drivability will be improved without compromising reliability; all whilst keeping inside factory safety margins.

So how do we do it?

The secret is out!

Would you believe, good old fashioned hard work combined with leading edge technology and a whole lot of research and development.  In the real world?

Our products are engineered not just fabricated.

For example; It’s not difficult to simply join a Cat to some pipe and a flex joint and make it fit into a vehicle, but our exhaust systems are engineered. The selection and careful placement of each component are designed to make the exhaust system work, not just fit.

Equipped with the latest technology including in-house dyno, sophisticated computer modelling technology that allows us to simulate, among other things, travelling up inclines and towing with various weights.

Then we take it onto the road and match it to the varying climate conditions you get from our vast nation.

Based in Brisbane, the third largest city in Australia, getting real world testing and data from metro areas is simple as it’s on our doorstep.

However, what about those other examples?

  • In the remote outback.
  • Towing.
  • In the remote outback AND towing!
  • Varied climatic conditions from the alps to the hottest humid tropics.

Roo Systems is a major sponsor of LowRange.tv. Through LowRange, we have the opportunity to put our money where our mouth is and actually use our products in the environment that they were designed to be used for.

Whilst on a LowRange trip, we trial and fine tune solutions that have been engineered in the office and match them to the real world conditions that our customers face. We constantly monitor engine performance, driveability and economy, relaying back to our talented engineers to record, adjust and tailor our products to the conditions faced on the road.
For example, it’s not uncommon for Gleno to upload a new tune into a vehicle several times in a single day in that search for the optimum balance.

With over 300,000 km of testing to ensure that whatever we put into the market is right, you can take comfort in knowing that we actually understand your requirements as we have lived it ourselves and have the runs on the board developing the best solution for those requirements.

Do yourself a favour and call us today to discuss how we can tailor a solution specifically for you!
